CHILLY’S

Chilly’s was founded in 2010 by James Butterfield and Tim Bouscarle, with the aim of providing people with the ability to always have cold water on-the-go, without having to buy single-use plastic water bottles. The result was the Chilly’s Bottle. A modern and stylish product designed to combine the convenience of a plastic water bottle, with the high performance technology and eco-friendly benefits of a traditional flask.

In pursuit of our mission we have now expanded the range to include a wider selection of reusable products with many more exciting products in development. Chilly's mission is to accelerate the adoption and everyday use of reusable products. We aim to do this through creating products for an active urban lifestyle, with the perfect balance of distinctive style and unrivalled performance.

NOMADIC STATE OF MIND

Nomadic State of Mind is a growing team, and continues to design and build superb quality, affordably priced rope art sandals to market Made from real hands for real feet. Thanks for your support through the years!Peace. Love. Good times!

Nomadic State of Mind, a grassroots-style handmade sandal company founded by Chris Anderson, began its voyage in the late 90’s. In the early years we ran the business out of a 1969 VW bus, which also served as Chris’ summer home (what nature loving, outdoor sports enthusiast, raft guide with a music guided-soul didn’t spend some time in a VW bus?). While we have come a long way since the days of Chris in his van, our philosophy has stayed consistent: “If it is done right in the beginning, it will last a long time.

At the turn of our century , Chris was introduced to a small community in Nicaragua that had been through some tough times and was in need of reliable income. He taught a small group how to make sandals, believing in fair trade and ethical practices, and sticking to our philosophy– Do it right. In the beginning, the road navigating the Wild West of Nicaragua was long and bumpy with scattered thunderstorms and occasional rainbows. But with perseverance and inspiration from lots of happy feet wandering the planet, we have found a home there for over a decade. So from a van by the river, to international availability and distribution (we even opened a Nomadic State of Mind store in the country of Cyprus) we have continued to grow and “do it right”. Occasionally we let our imaginations take over, which has helped lead to an increased product line with the addition of various forms of rope art (using sandal scraps!), from handbags to water bottle carriers, to rugs and more.

CAT BLACK

HEMPER

Hemper is the story of a regenerative journey. A journey that is the result of the exploration of the hidden places of the world where the most ancestral textile traditions still survive. A project that goes beyond sustainability, rethinking registers and obsolete formulas to build an authentic and current alternative.

We have built an innovative ecosystem around unique artisanal fabrics, natural dyes and local alliances based on respect and equity, with the aim of adding our grain of sand to the Slow fashion revolution.

HISTORIA

In 2015 we went to Nepal for the first time as social workers after the earthquake that took place in the spring of that year. During the trip we met a small community of hemp artisans, who were the main inspiration for what Hemper is today.

We began to work on contributing to the development of artisans by designing products that could fit into our market. They produced and we bought. We brought them to Spain and sold them through social networks.

And that is how we began to create a production chain with a social and environmental impact project, which is made up of artisans from different disciplines, from hemp cultivation to the finishing of the products.

Since then we have continued to travel to Nepal. Deepening relationships with and between producers. Trying to reincorporate fibers and techniques that are hardly used in the industry: natural dye, the artisanal loom... In a learning process that is what we understand as current sustainability: a constant movement.

This ecosystem is built thanks to our local team that accompanies the development of the product, the companies and our project with producers, entrepreneurs and artisans. With this we have not only built a sustainable production network but thanks to the use of ancestral artisan techniques, we are recovering a tradition that is a cultural treasure for all humanity. Hemper is only possible thanks to a solid and long-lasting relationship with local artisan communities, built on the basis of respect for the work and time of our collaborators.
